IT Manager (sole IT function)

HISKY provides secure satellite communication and control for small, long range, manned and unmanned platforms. HISKY’ provides a flexible, low SWaP system, for on-the-move satellite communication solutions for air, land and sea. HISKY provides a full end to end system including remote terminals, hubs and network management. Technologies developed by HISKY for this system incorporate RF, antennas, digital, real time software, management software, communication and others.

We are seeking a highly resourceful, sharp, and execution-driven IT & Cyber Security Manager to fully own and operate our company’s IT infrastructure. In this role, you will serve as the sole IT function within the organization, independently managing and supporting all IT operations and cyber security needs.

This position demands a unique professional who thrives on end-to-end ownership: you will be responsible for everything from day-to-day Tier 1-3 user support to architecting our cloud environment and building our cybersecurity defenses. This is an intensively hands-on, solo execution role.

Key Responsibilities

• IT Operations - Act as the sole point of contact for all IT matters. Handle the entire lifecycle of employees (onboarding/offboarding, equipment provisioning, M365 licensing) and provide standalone Tier 1–3 technical support for all hardware, software, and network issues.
• Cyber Security & Compliance Ownership: Serve as the organization's security anchor. Design, implement, and maintain our corporate security policies, central logging, and system backups. Build and test robust Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity Plans (BCP).
• Security Toolkit Management: Actively deploy and manage the company’s cyber security stack: EDR/XDR, SIEM/SOC services, Microsoft Intune (MDM), NAC, Network Isolation, and BitLocker. Lead readiness for upcoming cyber and data audits.
• Infrastructure & Networking: Fully manage and optimize our corporate network topology with heavy hands-on management of Fortinet equipment. Administer and secure our SaaS ecosystem (Microsoft 365 / Entra ID) and cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Procurement & Vendors: Own IT procurement, software licenses, asset management, and relations with external vendors and MSPs while continuously optimizing costs.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in IT / System Administration, with a proven track record of operating successfully as a standalone IT owner in a scaling high-tech company.
• Strong Cybersecurity Background (Must-Have): Proven experience implementing IT security frameworks and directly managing a modern security toolkit (EDR, Intune, NAC, SIEM/SOC). A CISO certification or equivalent cybersecurity validation is a significant advantage.
• Expert Hands-On Technical Stack:
• Networking: Direct, advanced experience with Fortinet equipment (Firewalls, switches, routing).
• SaaS & Cloud: Advanced administration of the Microsoft 365 package (Entra ID, SharePoint, Exchange). Experience with AWS/Azure/GCP is an advantage.
• Mindset: Extreme ownership mentality. Highly independent, proactive, and resourceful—someone who genuinely enjoys solving low-level technical problems while keeping the macro infrastructure secure.
• Industry Background: Previous experience supporting manufacturing, telecom, or high-availability/defense-electronics environments – Significant Advantage.
