A leading defense high‑tech company is hiring an Integration & Automation Group Manager to own product integration and delivery from development through field deployment. The role requires close collaboration with hardware, firmware and software engineering teams and operations, and leadership of three technical teams responsible for automated test, multidisciplinary integration and field validation.
Key responsibilities
- Own end‑to‑end integration and product delivery, ensuring readiness for production and field deployment.
- Lead and develop three teams:
- ATE Team: design and implement automated test and calibration systems for hardware, firmware and functional verification; develop operator/customer‑facing support applications.
- Integration Team A: integrate multi‑disciplinary systems, perform HW/SW failure analysis, define and run regression test processes.
- Integration Team B: run POCs for new systems/features, execute field trials to validate performance, and apply system‑level problem solving and creative design.
- Define and implement automated test frameworks and test rigs; author test plans, procedures and acceptance criteria.
- Support transition from R&D to manufacturing: wiring diagrams, assembly kits, production kits, test documentation and acceptance tests.
- Manage external integrators and suppliers; coordinate with QA, production, and customer teams to meet delivery schedules and quality targets.
- Perform root‑cause analysis, drive remediation, and continually improve integration and verification processes.
- Be prepared for intensive work periods and onsite field activities as required.
Mandatory requirements
- Degree: Electronics Engineer (B.Sc. / M.Sc.) — required.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience managing and motivating technical teams.
- Minimum 4 years’ hands‑on experience in testing and integration of multidisciplinary systems.
- Proven experience with RF systems — deep understanding of transmit/receive chains and RF measurement methods (mandatory).
- Familiarity with calibration algorithms and test methodologies; experience with RF test & measurement equipment.
- Experience testing electronic boards (analog and digital).
- Demonstrated experience developing automated tests and ATE rigs.
- Experience supporting projects from development into production (wiring drawings, assembly and production kits, test docs).
- Experience managing external integrators/contractors — mandatory.
- Willingness to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines and perform fieldwork.
Preferred / advantageous
- Defense or aerospace experience.
- Strong RCA (root cause analysis) skills and systems thinking.
- Project management and cross‑functional stakeholder management.
- Technical English (reading/writing/speaking).
