FinOps Engineer

We are looking for our first FinOps Engineer to join our SaaS Platform organization and lead the evolution of cloud financial operations across our global AWS environment.

This role combines technical depth, analytical thinking, and cross-organizational leadership. You will work closely with local and global DevOps, SRE, Engineering and Finance teams to improve cloud cost visibility, optimize resource usage, build cost governance processes, and drive financial accountability across the organization.

This is a hands-on role with the opportunity to build the FinOps domain from the ground up and directly influence engineering and operational decisions at scale.

How will your day-to-day look like?

• Lead and own FinOps initiatives across a large-scale AWS SaaS environment
• Build and maintain cloud cost visibility and allocation models across tenants, products, and shared services
• Analyze AWS usage trends and identify optimization opportunities across compute, storage, networking, Kubernetes, databases, and SaaS services
• Partner with local and global DevOps, Engineering and Finance teams to improve infrastructure efficiency and resource utilization
• Drive implementation and adoption of FinOps tools and processes
• Define and monitor KPIs related to cloud efficiency, utilization, waste reduction, and cost forecasting
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cloud financial planning activities
• Create dashboards and executive reports for engineering and leadership stakeholders
• Identify opportunities for RI/Savings Plans optimization and usage improvements
• Help establish governance processes, tagging standards, and operational best practices
• Support cost allocation models for multi-tenant SaaS environments
• Promote FinOps culture and awareness across engineering teams

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in FinOps roles within cloud environments, including building dashboards and analyzing large datasets
• Deep understanding of cloud financial management, cost optimization, and cloud usage analysis in AWS environments
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud architecture, services, cost models, cost management, and optimization practices
• Experience working with Kubernetes environments (EKS preferred)
• Experience with FinOps platforms such as CloudZero or similar tools
• Familiarity with tagging strategies, cost allocation, and shared resource modeling
• Knowledge of AWS Savings Plans and Reserved Instances strategies
• Passion for leveraging AI technologies to improve operational efficiency and cloud cost optimization
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work cross-functionally with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in both Hebrew and English

Nice to Have:

• Experience using AI and automation tools in day-to-day engineering or FinOps workflows - an advantage
• Experience in multi-tenant SaaS environments
• Experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code
• Experience working in high-scale production environments
