Head of Analytics

First Data/BI Hire

An early-stage startup in the Insurtech space is looking for its first Analytics hire — someone who can take ownership of the company’s BI and analytics domain and build the foundation for data-driven decision making across the business.

This is a highly impactful, hands-on role with direct exposure to leadership and the opportunity to shape how the company measures, analyzes and grows the business from day one.

We’re looking for someone who combines strong business thinking with solid technical BI/analytics capabilities, and enjoys working in fast-moving startup environments.

What you'll do

• Own and evolve the company’s analytics and BI infrastructure
• Define and build KPIs and business metrics
• Create dashboards and reporting systems for leadership and business teams
• Turn business questions into actionable insights
• Build and improve ETL/data workflows
• Partner closely with founders, product and engineering teams
• Help establish a strong data-driven culture across the company
• Serve as the go-to person for analytics and business visibility

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in BI / Business Analytics / Product Analytics / Analytics Engineering
• Strong SQL skills
• Experience with BI platforms such as Power BI or Tableau
• Experience working with ETL/data processes
• Ability to work independently and own the analytics domain end-to-end
• Strong business orientation and ability to generate insights from data
• Startup mindset and willingness to be hands-on
• Experience building analytics environments from scratch

Nice to have

• Background in startup environments
• Experience working closely with founders or leadership teams
• Familiarity with modern analytics/data stack tools
