System Development Lead - Avionic Modules

We are seeking an experienced Avionic Modules Development Lead to join the Systems Engineering and Development department in a leading defense company.

In this position, you will hold critical, matrix-based responsibility under a Project Manager as part of our business directorate. You will lead the design, development, and end-to-end integration of strategic avionic modules for multi-disciplinary aerospace systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cross-Functional Leadership: Lead the multi-disciplinary matrix process connecting systems engineering, hardware, software, mechanics, simulators, harness, and testing groups—both on-site and at subcontractors' facilities.
• Design Reviews & Compliance: Direct and manage Design Reviews across all stages of development and manufacturing alongside internal and external stakeholders.
• Testing & Deployment: Oversee complex integration processes, validation routines, and field testing up to successful customer deployment.

Job Requirements:

• Education: B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or Computer Engineering – Mandatory.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in actual development or management of complex hardware and/or software products – Mandatory.
• Systems Engineering: Practical knowledge and hands-on experience with systems engineering methodologies – Mandatory.
• Project Management: Demonstrated experience in managing workflows, budgets, procurement, and collaborating with customers and subcontractors – Mandatory.
• Languages: Native/Advanced Hebrew (high-level communication) and technical English (fluent reading, writing, and speaking) – Mandatory.

Preferred Qualifications:

• M.Sc. in Systems Engineering.
• Over 3 years of experience managing large-scale, multi-disciplinary engineering projects.
• Experience steering full product lifecycles, from early concept design to serial mass production.
• A background in defense industries or extended technical military service.
