General Manager, Growth & Monetization - Tickchak Live
This role is posted on behalf of Tickchak, a resident company at SmartUp Academy.
Tickchak is one of Israel's top platforms for event discovery and cultural content, with substantial organic traffic, and partnerships with major productions and venues nationwide.
We've built the audience. Now we need someone to build the business around it.
As General Manager of Growth & Monetization, you'll own the P&L thinking, strategy, and execution required to turn Tickchak Live's high traffic into scalable, repeatable revenue across media, partnerships, ticketing, advertising, commerce, and models we haven't built yet.
The Opportunity
Tickchak Live has strong organic search positioning, high brand recognition, and a large engaged audience with clear commercial intent. What we need is a monetization infrastructure that matches the scale of the platform. Your job is to build it, and to run it.
Within your first 6 months, you should expect to:
- Launch and validate at least two new revenue streams
- Establish core monetization KPIs and a reporting cadence with leadership
- Build a pipeline of commercial partnerships with event producers, ticketing platforms, brands, and media companies
- Map the full conversion funnel from traffic to revenue and identify the highest-leverage gaps
Over time, you'll own the business model of the platform and play a central role in determining what Tickchak Live becomes as a company.
What You'll Own
Revenue strategy: Identify, prioritize, and execute monetization opportunities across advertising, partnerships, ticketing integrations, sponsored content, data products, and affiliate/commerce models.
Growth and conversion: Analyze traffic behavior, audience segments, and conversion paths. Build scalable acquisition and monetization funnels. Run experiments, measure results, kill what doesn't work.
Partnerships: Develop and manage commercial relationships with event producers, artists, ticketing platforms, brands, advertisers, and media companies. You'll lead negotiations and deal structure.
Cross-functional leadership: Drive product prioritization around monetization, align marketing on audience development, and sit at the leadership table on business model decisions. You won't have a large team on day one. This is a hands-on building role with a path to team and budget ownership as revenue scales.
Who You Are
You've built or significantly scaled monetization for a digital product, ideally in marketplaces, media, ticketing, consumer internet, ad-tech, or e-commerce. You understand how traffic becomes revenue at a structural level, not just through paid campaigns.
Beyond that:
- You're analytical and data-driven, but you also have strong commercial instincts and can close a partnership deal, not just model one in a spreadsheet
- You've operated with real ownership. Setting strategy, making tradeoffs, and being accountable to revenue numbers
- You're comfortable with ambiguity and early-stage business building, even within an established platform
- You communicate clearly and can influence stakeholders at all levels
Strong Advantages
- Experience monetizing SEO-driven or organic-traffic businesses
- Background in the events, entertainment, or creator economy space
- Hands-on experience with advertising ecosystems, audience targeting, or programmatic
- Track record of building commercial partnerships from scratch
