US CPA/Tax Preparer

Role Description

Full-time or part time remote role for a US CPA/EA/Tax Preparer at AZYTAX.

The professional in this role will prepare and review federal and state income tax returns mostly for individuals, but also for corporations, partnerships, and LLCs, ensuring accuracy and compliance with current tax laws.

Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting tax research, identifying planning opportunities, and documenting positions in a clear, organized manner.

The role involves consulting with clients to gather information, explain tax implications, and recommend strategies that support their financial and business goals.

The US CPA/Tax Preparer will also assist with year-round tax planning, support clients with IRS or state inquiries, and collaborate with team members to improve internal processes and client service.

Qualifications

• Strong technical expertise in Tax Preparation and U.S. tax compliance for individuals and entities.
• High verbal and writing skills (Hebrew & English)
• Experience in complex tax filing – Advantage (5471, Equity compensation)
• Proficiency in Accounting and Finance principles relevant to tax planning and analysis.
• Experience preparing and analyzing Financial Statements to support tax filings and advisory work.
• Experience with tax preparation software and spreadsheets; strong proficiency in common office and collaboration tools.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
• Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills for client-facing work in a remote environment.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines, work independently, and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field; prior public accounting or tax firm experience is preferred.
