We’re seeking a Hands-On VP of R&D/Engineering in the realms of Agentic AI, Computer Vision, and Video Analysis. In this role, you will lead our technical team (research group and engineering team) towards hyper-execution - spanning strategy, management, execution, team building, and mentoring.

This is a founder-level leadership role combining technical depth with strong management to drive innovation while ensuring discipline, deadlines, and delivery as we break through the boundaries of current AI.

• Scale & Growth: Experience in startups and/or big-tech companies, leading and growing engineering teams of 10 to 50+ employees under high pressure.
• Soft Skills: Clear leadership presence (respected, decisive, visionary, deadline-driven) with strong communication and context-switching skills.
• Leadership Depth: 10+ years of hands-on, real-world experience in leading and building systems and teams from 0 to 1.
• Mission-Critical Execution: Proven track record delivering real-time or mission-critical systems with hard SLAs.
• Domain Knowledge: Deep understanding and experience in video streaming, computer vision, edge computing, and hybrid deployments.
• Team Management: Experience managing multi-timezone and geographically dispersed teams.
• Mentorship: Experienced in code reviews and inner-team mentorship.

• Python Expertise: Proficiency (8+ years) in Python for AI and backend engineering.
• Computer Vision: 8+ years of experience in computer vision, including multi-camera tracking and ReID.
• Agentic AI & SOTA: Proven experience with recent agentic AI frameworks, practices, and deep familiarity with current SOTA open-source AI models.
• Video Engineering: Experience scaling live video streaming of CCTV cameras (100s or 1000s of concurrent streams) and building scalable video ingestion/analysis pipelines at scale.
• Infrastructure & Hardware: Hands-on expertise in AI/ML engineering, GPU-accelerated inference, the Nvidia stack, and DevOps/infra technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, Cloud providers).
• Compliance & Solutions: Familiarity with On-prem/air-gapped solutions and working under compliance frameworks like ISO27001 and SOC2.

• Regulated Environments: Experience with government, HLS, critical infrastructure, and heavily security-heavy environments (including air-gapped deployments).
• Compliance Frameworks: Familiarity with SOC2, ISO 27001, and FedRAMP-like frameworks.
• Ecosystems: Deep knowledge of VMS and CCTV ecosystems.
• Preferred - experience in a previous video surveillance company that served 10s/100s of customers with scale of 1000s of concurrent streams, both on-prem and in the cloud
