Senior Algorithms Engineer – Computer Vision

A fast-growing deep-tech company is looking for a Senior Algorithms Engineer to take ownership of advanced vision capabilities used in real-world, production-grade systems.

This is a hands-on senior role with strong technical leadership, suited for someone who enjoys building highly accurate computer vision systems and leading complex algorithmic work from research through deployment.

The Role

• Design and develop advanced computer vision and AI-based algorithms
• Take ownership of core algorithmic domains within the system
• Lead end-to-end solutions: research, prototyping, deployment, and optimization
• Work on challenges such as object detection, segmentation, classification, OCR, and measurement
• Drive improvements in accuracy, robustness, and latency in production environments
• Build and maintain training and evaluation pipelines
• Act as a technical leader and key decision-maker for vision-related challenges
• Mentor and guide other algorithm engineers
• Collaborate closely with software, systems, and product teams

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in computer vision and algorithm development
• Proven experience building and deploying AI-based vision systems
• Background in accuracy-driven environments (e.g., detection, measurement, classification)
• Deep experience with deep learning for vision (CNNs, Transformers, etc.)
• Hands-on with PyTorch and/or TensorFlow
• Strong Python skills; C++ is a strong advantage
• Solid foundation in classical image processing (geometry, calibration, filtering)
• Experience taking algorithms from research into production
• Ability to lead technically, own domains, and work independently

Nice to Have

• Experience working with complex systems or hardware constraints
• Familiarity with real-time systems, Edge AI, or MLOps
• Exposure to cameras, optics, or imaging systems
• Advanced degree in a relevant field
