Senior Software Engineer in Microtech - 767

Microtech is a cutting-edge start-up developing innovative implantable wireless sensors that monitor cardiac pressure variations for various heart conditions. Our multidisciplinary team combines expertise across software, algorithms, electronics, physics, and mechanics, working closely together to bring life-changing technology to the market.

We’re looking for a high-performing, highly motivated and proactive Senior Software Engineer to join us on a new and growing project in a highly hands-on role. This is a high-ownership role with real impact. You’ll work closely with the Head of Software as a right hand: building foundations, making key technical decisions, and pushing the product from concept to working system.

Essential duties and responsibilities

• Design and implement core software components end-to-end
• Write production-grade code in C#/.NET Core and C++ (quality, reliability, maintainability)
• Build high-performance backend code and web-related components (UI, APIs)
• Integrate software with real-world constraints and multidisciplinary inputs (HW/algorithms/system needs)
• Debug complex issues across Windows/Linux environments
• Improve engineering quality: tests, tooling, documentation, CI/build flows, code reviews
• Take ownership of deliverables and drive tasks to completion with minimal supervision

Must-have qualifications

• B.Sc. in Computer Science / Mathematics / Software Engineering from recognized university
• 5+ years professional software development experience
• Very strong in:
• C# and .NET Core
• C++
• Web development experience (e.g., React/TypeScript/JavaScript and/or web APIs)
• Comfortable working in Windows and Linux
• Strong fundamentals in software design, architecture, debugging, and problem solving

Preferable background

• MATLAB and/or Python
• Experience in medical devices or similar high-reliability products
• Experience working in a multidisciplinary environment (software + hardware/algorithms/system)
