ROLE DESCRIPTION

This is a contract role that involves overseeing the design, development, and optimization of hardware solutions for vibroacoustic systems. Key responsibilities include leading hardware architecture decisions, managing component sourcing, ensuring manufacturing readiness, and guiding seamless integration with firmware and software components. The Embedded Hardware Lead will collaborate with the software team, design partners, and manufacturing vendors to deliver production-ready hardware for pilot and commercial deployment.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Lead BLE architecture validation
• Manage hardware assembly and manufacturing coordination
• Define and execute hardware acceptance test protocols
• Provide complete hardware-firmware interface specifications to the software team
• Debug and resolve hardware-software integration issues
• Support product deployment and first-stage hardware troubleshooting
• Manage component sourcing and BOM finalization

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

• 5+ years embedded systems engineering
• Deep proficiency with BLE - GATT, iOS stack behavior, and connection management
• Expertise with ESP32 microcontroller architecture and development
• Strong analog electronics background (amplifier circuits, impedance matching, signal integrity)
• Experience with power electronics design and DC distribution architectures
• Proven ability to develop and validate BOMs for hardware manufacturing
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders.
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

NICE TO HAVE

• Audio amplifier circuit design
• Firmware development (C/C++ for ESP-IDF or Arduino)
