About the Role

Eyeviation is seeking a Unity Team Lead who thrives in the high-impact "zero-to-one" stage. This is a pivotal role for an expert who wants to lead our Unity team and build the technical foundation of our VR products from the ground up.

As our Unity Tech Lead, you will bridge the gap between immersive VR design and robust software engineering. You will own the architecture and integrity of our VR ecosystem, ensuring our training solutions scale into reliable, real-world deployments. Working closely with R&D and Product leadership, you will influence how our system integrates with high-fidelity sensors and how we shape the future of advanced firearms training.

Key Responsibilities

• Unity Leadership: Lead the Unity team in developing cutting-edge VR products while establishing best practices for software architecture and code quality.
• Foundational Engineering: Move prototypes into production-ready solutions, ensuring the scalability, reliability, and maintainability of our engine.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work in sync with Engineering, Data Science, and Product teams to integrate biosensor data and AI feedback into immersive environments.
• Full Lifecycle Ownership: Oversee the development process from initial concept to provable, shipped products in a production environment.
• Scaling the Vision: Define the technical roadmap for the Unity department and mentor the team as we grow.

Requirements

• Academic Foundation: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related quantitative field. We are looking for a Software Engineer who treats Unity as a robust engineering platform.
• Unity Mastery: 6+ years of hands-on experience developing with the Unity3D game engine.
• Engineering Rigor: Strong foundation in software engineering, data structures, and linear algebra.
• Proven Track Record: Experience leading a team in a production environment with a history of delivering shipped products.
• Hands-on Grit: The ability to move from high-level architectural concepts to final, production-ready implementation.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with C++, Python, or JavaScript.
• Experience working with VR data, eye-tracking, or high-fidelity sensors.
• Knowledge of 3D motion or trajectory analysis.
