Role Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Application Security Engineer for a full-time hybrid role based in north , with the flexibility to work partially from home. The role involves identifying and mitigating security vulnerabilities in applications, conducting security assessments, collaborating with development teams to integrate security best practices, and providing guidance during the software development lifecycle. The engineer will also implement and monitor application security tools, perform application penetration testing, and lead efforts to improve overall security posture.

Qualifications

• Experience in application security, penetration testing, and identifying vulnerabilities in software systems
• Knowledge of secure coding practices, code review processes, and remediation strategies
• Proficiency in using security tools such as static application security testing (SAST), dynamic application security testing (DAST), and vulnerability scanners
• Strong understanding of application security principles, OWASP standards, and common attack vectors
• Expertise in analyzing, mitigating, and reporting security incidents
• Ability to collaborate effectively with software developers, DevOps teams, and other stakeholders
• Familiarity with security frameworks, compliance standards, and regulations (e.g., ISO 27001, GDPR, PCI-DSS)
• Relevant certifications such as OSCP, CISSP, CEH, or similar credentials are advantageous
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
