Data Engineer - Backend Oriented

For a leading financial client, we are looking for a Backend oriented Data Engineer with a strong focus on Data technologies, for a challenging role within a leading team responsible for developing core processes that support organizational decision-making.

This is a significant role within a professional and high-quality team working in an Agile environment, taking part in the full development lifecycle — from understanding business needs to implementing complex Data processes based on advanced infrastructures.

Responsibilities:

   •   Develop and maintain ETL processes as part of enterprise-wide information systems

   •   Work on a variety of projects including data enrichment, development of new models, and support for decision-making processes

   •   Take ownership of process improvements, optimization initiatives, and DWH enhancements

   •   Collaborate closely with internal business stakeholders and gain a deep understanding of business needs

   •   Work as part of a multidisciplinary team including system analysts, developers, and QA engineers

Requirements:

   •   At least 3 years of experience working with DWH environments — A Must!

   •   Hands-on experience in ETL development — A Must (advantage for experience with DataStage or Informatica)

   •   Experience working with large and complex databases, including advanced SQL query development

   •   Familiarity with CI/CD processes, experience with Nifi, and with cloud environments (Google Cloud — advantage)

   •   Strong understanding of data modeling, enterprise integrations, and cross-organizational interfaces
