Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly technical and curious Product Manager to embed within our AI Research team. This is a unique opportunity to work shoulder-to-shoulder with world-class researchers on the frontier of Visual Generative AI — translating cutting-edge research into products that reshape the landscape of visual genAI.

The ideal candidate brings a deep technical foundation (Algorithms, Data Science, Machine Learning, or similar), sharp technical instincts, a strong product mindset, and a hunger to learn and grow. Prior product management experience is not required — we are looking for raw technical talent, intellectual curiosity, customer obsession, and the drive to dive deep into complex AI problems. If you also bring a strong visual eye and genuine passion for the world of visual generative AI, even better.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Product Mindset: Always start from the "why." Keep our customers at the center of every decision — think beyond metrics and models, and ask how your work shapes the user experience, drives business value, and fits into the broader product strategy. Champion the customer's voice inside the research team.
2. Research ↔ Product Translation: Partner closely with AI researchers to shape research directions into product opportunities — and equally important, bring product needs, customer pain points, and market signals back into the research team in a structured, actionable way. Be the two-way bridge between research and product.
3. Technical Product Definition: Define model and pipeline requirements, success criteria, and DODs. Work hand-in-hand with researchers and engineers on technical feasibility, tradeoffs, and implementation paths.
4. Benchmarking and Evaluation: Define visual benchmarks that represent feature and quality requirements. Play a central role in evaluating models, pipelines, and outputs — combining quantitative metrics with sharp visual judgment.
5. User Value: Translate research value into real user experience. Define what "good" looks like from the customer's perspective and ensure that research outputs land as meaningful, usable, and valuable product capabilities.
6. Cross-Team Coordination: Act as the connective tissue between Research, Engineering, Product, and downstream teams (Sales, CSM, Marketing, Solutions). Translate cutting-edge research concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
7. Documentation and Communication: Create and maintain detailed, accurate documentation for both internal and external stakeholders. Brief stakeholders, coordinate with marketing and solutions teams, and ensure smooth product shipment.
8. Market and Product Knowledge: Develop a thorough understanding of the Generative AI research landscape, customer needs, the competitive landscape, and emerging market trends. Gain deep expertise in our technology, models, and products.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Strong technical background — degree or equivalent experience in Algorithms, Data Science, Machine Learning, Computer Science, or AI research — a must
• Sharp technical skills and the ability to engage substantively with researchers on model architectures, training, evaluation, and pipelines
• Strong product mindset — relentlessly focused on the "why," with customers and business value at the center of every decision
• Strong drive to learn, grow, and develop — autodidact mindset is essential
• Product management experience is not required; technical depth, curiosity, customer obsession, and judgment matter more
• Passion for the field of visual Generative AI — a big advantage
