Software Engineering Internship - Virtualization Team (Ra'anana, Israel)

Job Summary

The Red Hat Virtualization team is looking for an Intern highly motivated student who can join us in the Raanana office and who wants to gain hands-on experience with open source and Red Hat products. In this role you will have the opportunity to work on Red Hat's Virtualization stack technologies with a focus on Red Hat’s virtualized solution, associated system components that support the needs of operating WIndows VMs, you will develop and execute test automation against Red Hat's product offerings, and contribute to the virtio-win drivers’ development.

What You Will Do

• Learn Red Hat's virtualization stack and virtualization solutions
• Execute test automation of Virtualization product, investigate on failures and debugging issues
• Research, develop, and implement test automation tools and frameworks
• Collaborate and contribute to upstream virtio-win communities, testing or fixing issues
  
  

What You Will Bring

• Taken and excelled in the Operating Systems course.
• Good programming/scripting skills with C language and/or Ruby.
• Developed own projects.
• Participant of open source communities;
• Interest in learning new technologies; problem-solving skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Knowledge of virtualization (KVM, QEMU, libvirt, cloud or container and similar) is a plus.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English
• Must be enrolled in an accredited university program in Israel during the whole duration of the internship and eligible to begin a full-time role in 2027 or 2028
• Must be available for the internship from August 2026 till July 2027
