Construction Plumber - Relocation to Africa

Company Description

An established construction company in West Africa, with multiple projects including residential, commercial and public budlings.

We are seeking a professional and experienced plumber for large-scale projects involving the construction of new residential, commercial, and office buildings in Africa.

The role includes professional responsibility for installing piping and plumbing fixtures in bathrooms and kitchens, as well as installing infrastructure for advanced air conditioning systems. The position requires the ability to work independently, as well as to train and manage local teams of workers.

Key Responsibilities

• Infrastructure Setup: Installing water and sewage piping, sanitary ware (toilets, sinks, bathtubs), faucets, and plumbing systems in bathrooms and kitchens in new projects.
• Air Conditioning Systems: Installing copper piping infrastructure, ventilation ducts, and drainage systems for commercial air conditioning units.
• Working According to Plans: Strict implementation of engineering plans, while making necessary adjustments to field conditions and locally available raw materials.
• Quality Control and Compliance with Standards: Performing pressure tests, ensuring sealing, and ensuring the quality of work at a high international finish level.
• Training and Team Management: Working closely with local laborers, including training, onboarding, monitoring their work, and ensuring compliance with schedules and safety requirements.
• Inventory Management: Tracking and monitoring the inventory of raw materials, equipment, and tools belonging to the department, and placing procurement orders as needed.

Job Requirements

• Professional Experience: Proven experience of at least 3 years as a plumber on active construction sites (new projects / high-density housing / offices / commercial) – Mandatory.
• Languages: Good command of the English language (speaking and comprehension) – Mandatory.
• Personal Skills and Qualifications: Ability to read blueprints and high-level technical understanding. Ability to manage and motivate employees, patience, and training skills. Resourcefulness and the ability to solve problems in real-time under challenging field conditions ("taking initiative").
• International Experience: Previous experience working abroad / in Africa – Significant advantage.
