Algorithm Engineer

A privately funded medical device and digital health startup developing cutting-edge implantable sensors that provide real-time patient monitoring and data transmission to edge devices and cloud networks.

Currently in advanced clinical trial stages, the company operates as an agile team backed by a well-established healthcare corporate group.

The technology combines advanced acoustics, biosensing, and cloud integration to redefine continuous patient care.

The position is based full-time at the company's offices in the northern tech district of Tel Aviv.

Key Responsibilities

• Architecting, simulating, and validating complex digital signal processing (DSP) algorithms using MATLAB.
• Analyzing acoustic signals, wave propagation behaviors, and complex physical phenomena to extract clean physiological metrics.
• Modeling end-to-end data pipelines, including filtering, noise reduction, and feature extraction from raw physical sensors.
• Overseeing data acquisition setups, defining experimental test matrices, and running rigorous system validation testing.
• Documenting algorithm architecture, design tradeoffs, and verification metrics in alignment with medical compliance protocols.
• Technical Domain Exposure- MATLAB, Signal Processing, Biomedical Ultrasound, Acoustics, Wave Phenomena, Design of Experiments (DOE), Signal Acquisition, Data Acquisition Hardware (DAQ), and Machine Learning (ML).

Requirements

• M.Sc. or Ph.D. in a relevant scientific or quantitative engineering discipline (e.g., Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or equivalent) (Mandatory).
• 5+ years of professional engineering experience dedicated to Algorithm Development (Mandatory).
• Strong, up-to-date hands-on experience specializing in Digital Signal Processing (DSP) (Mandatory).
• Comprehensive, production-grade proficiency utilizing MATLAB for mathematical modeling, simulation, and data analysis (Mandatory).
• Proven engineering experience in at least one of the following domains: Medical Device product environments, Ultrasound data processing, or high-scale sensor signal processing (Mandatory).
