Senior FPGA & Systems Software Engineer

The Role

We are looking for a highly hands-on Senior FPGA Engineer with strong systems-software capabilities.

This role is for someone who can build complex FPGA logic, design deterministic hardware behavior, and also work across the software layer that connects policy generation, JSON structures, validation logic, and internal engineering tools.

You will sit at the intersection of FPGA hardware enforcement and software/AI policy generation - bridging two worlds that usually do not speak the same language.

You’ll work on:

• Complex FPGA logic and hardware-enforced policy flows.
• Advanced FSM design for deterministic real-time validation.
• Translating structured policies and JSON schemas into FPGA behavior.
• Python tools for testing, simulation, validation, and automation.
• Interfaces between FPGA logic and software/AI policy generation.
• Electron-based internal tools and Policy Studio integration.
• Prototype debugging, lab validation, test flows, and technical architecture.
• Turning abstract security/policy requirements into deterministic hardware logic.

Must have:

• 5+ years of hands-on FPGA design experience.
• Proven experience building complex FPGA systems, not only simple blocks.
• Strong Verilog / VHDL / SystemVerilog experience.
• Strong experience designing complex FSMs.
• Strong Python experience.
• Hands-on experience with JSON-based structures and data formats.
• Experience with Electron or desktop software tools.
• Ability to connect hardware logic, software architecture, and policy thinking.
• Strong independent problem-solving and technical ownership.

Nice to have:

• Experience with AMD/Xilinx, Intel/Altera, or similar FPGA platforms.
• Experience with Vivado, Quartus, ModelSim, Questa, or similar tools.
• Experience with protocol parsing or hardware-enforced validation.
• Cybersecurity, OT, industrial systems, or hardware-security background.
• Experience working with AI/software teams on system-level architecture.
