Quality Assurance Engineer

Visuality Systems is well-established company specializing in the development of SMB protocol stacks for enterprise and embedded customers worldwide. We are a small, highly technical team with a strong global customer base and a long track record of delivering mission-critical networking solutions.

We are looking for an experienced Manual QA Engineer (3–5 years of experience) to join our Java team. You will be responsible for testing our pure Java implementation of the SMB protocol stack. Please note that this is a backend/networking QA role, not a UI testing position.

Responsibilities:

• Design and execute manual test cases for a Java-based networking library.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and interoperability testing.
• Analyze logs and network traffic (e.g., Wireshark).
• Report and track bugs with clear reproduction steps.
• Work closely with developers to isolate and validate issues.

Requirements:

• 3–5 years of Manual QA experience.
• Experience testing backend systems, APIs, or networking products.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP and client-server architecture.
• Experience working with Linux and Windows environments.
• Ability to analyze technical logs and debug complex issues.
• Strong written and spoken English.

Nice to Have:

• Experience testing protocol-based systems (SMB, HTTP, FTP, NFS, etc.).
• Familiarity with authentication mechanisms (NTLM, Kerberos).
• Basic Java knowledge.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD environments and development workflows (Jenkins, Git, Docker).
