The Role

As a BI Developer you will own the end-to-end intelligence layer for our most critical financial operations. You will bridge the gap between complex transaction data and strategic business decisions, ensuring our payment ecosystem is optimized, secure, and scalable. This is a high-stakes role where your insights directly influence revenue protection and global provider performance.

Description

• Architect and maintain end-to-end data models and pipelines focusing on the complete transaction lifecycle and financial reconciliation.
• Develop and manage sophisticated dashboards used daily by Finance, Risk, and Payments teams to monitor global performance.
• Analyze provider approval rates, chargeback trends, and settlement flows to identify opportunities for routing optimization.
• Partner with Risk and Fraud units to build analytical frameworks for detecting velocity patterns and authentication anomalies.
• Define instrumentation and success metrics for new payment flows and provider integrations prior to market launch.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering to ensure all financial data pipelines are production-grade, cost-efficient, and highly accurate.
• Conduct deep-dive analyses into complex business questions from stakeholders to drive operational improvements in the payment stack.
  
  

• 3+ years of experience in BI or data analytics within a B2C environment, specifically focused on payment ecosystems and processor dynamics.
• Advanced expertise in writing production-grade, complex SQL queries for large-scale data environments.
• Hands-on experience with modern data warehouse technologies such as BigQuery - advantage.
• Proven track record of building and managing complex data models and visualizations using Looker and LookML - advantage.
• Deep understanding of payment authentication flows, issuer challenges, and fraud prevention mechanisms - advantage.
• Experience working with dbt or similar data transformation frameworks to manage scalable data logic - advantage.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical data findings into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
