We are looking for an exceptional Backend Team Lead to lead and mentor a team of engineers while designing and scaling mission-critical backend systems and research platforms. In this role, you will drive architecture and technical decisions, ensure high engineering standards, and collaborate across teams to deliver reliable, scalable, and innovative solutions.

We are looking for a hands-on technical leader with strong backend and system design experience, a passion for solving complex challenges, and the ability to build and grow high-performing engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead, grow, mentor, and manage a team of talented engineers, focusing on their professional growth and personal development.
• Shape and influence cross-team and department-wide technical processes in an agile, fast-paced ecosystem.
• Take full ownership of the backend lifecycle—from system design and architectural decisions to deployment and production maintenance.
• Design and oversee the development of backend services where high availability and resilience are the top priorities.
• Drive technical excellence by enforcing high standards for code quality, testing, and documentation.
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers, other teams and Operations to translate complex business requirements into elegant technical solutions.
• Take part in deep-dive troubleshooting and drive technical post-mortem discussions to identify the root cause of complex application issues.
• Champion innovation and the adoption of modern technologies and best practices within the team.
  
  

• 2+ years of experience as a Team Leader in a backend-focused environment.
• 5+ years of proven experience in backend development (experience with [Python/Go/Java/Node.js] preferred).
• Deep understanding of System Design and Microservices architecture, including experience with distributed systems and scalability.
• Solid experience with Containerization (Docker) and orchestration in a Kubernetes (K8s) environment.
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs / gRPC and asynchronous messaging systems (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ).
• Proven experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, Redis, MongoDB), including schema design and query optimization.
• Proven experience with CI/CD methodologies and tools for automated testing and deployment.
• Great interpersonal skills and a "can-do" attitude.
  
  

• Experience with Golang or Python in a production-grade environment.
• Background in Offensive Cyber.
