Backend Tech Lead – Core Platform

About The Role

We’re looking for a Senior Backend Engineer with a strong architectural mindset to strengthen the core of our platform.

This role focuses on designing, improving, and owning complex data models at the heart of the system.

You’ll work on one of the most critical parts of the product – the core backend and data layer – and help close existing gaps, improve structure, and support future scale.

What You’ll Do

• Own and improve the core data model across the platform
• Identify gaps, inconsistencies, and structural issues in existing models
• Design scalable, clean, and maintainable backend architecture
• Work closely with product, frontend, and other backend engineers
• Lead technical decisions around data modeling and backend structure
• Help set best practices and raise the overall backend quality
  
  

• Node.js (NestJS preferred)
• Complex data models and core backend systems
• Modern backend architecture and APIs
  
  

• Senior Backend Engineer or Backend Tech Lead
• Strong experience with Node.js, ideally NestJS
• Proven experience designing and owning complex data models
• Architectural thinking – not just feature delivery
• Background in fintech or complex financial systems is a strong plus
• Experience as a Tech Lead or senior engineer in a fintech company is ideal
  
  

• Experience from fintech companies or large financial platforms
• Previous tech lead responsibilities
• Experience working on core systems rather than edge features
