Product Designer (Design Systems & AI)

Approx. 20 hrs/week (80 hrs/month)

We’re looking for a highly technical Product Designer who specializes in Design Systems, Figma architecture, and AI-powered workflows.

This is not a generalist UI/UX role.

We need someone who treats Figma like a scalable product system, building robust foundations, optimizing workflows, and partnering closely with engineering teams in a fast-moving environment.

Design System Architecture & Implementation

* Build and scale a comprehensive Figma design system from the ground up

* Work extensively with Variables, Tokens, Aliasing, and multi-mode theming

* Create clean, production-ready product files fully aligned with the design system

* Maintain structured, component-driven workflows with zero-detachment discipline

* Produce documentation that bridges Figma implementation with frontend logic (CSS/React)

AI-Driven Design Operations

* Use AI tools to automate repetitive design tasks and improve operational efficiency

* Streamline workflows including:

* Layer organization

* Wireframing * Documentation generation

* Icon generation

* Design system maintenance

* Continuously improve speed and scalability across the design process

Product Execution & Collaboration

* Deliver polished, pixel-perfect interfaces that are scalable and functional

* Collaborate closely with product managers and engineers in agile, high-velocity environments

* Lead review cycles independently and iterate quickly on complex product flows

What We’re Looking For

* Strong portfolio demonstrating:

* A design system built from scratch

* Complex product screens built using that system

* Deep expertise in Figma architecture and component systems

* Strong understanding of how design decisions translate into frontend implementation

* Experience leveraging AI tools within the design workflow

* Highly independent, proactive, and execution-focused mindset

Bonus Points

* Experience working with developer handoff systems

* Familiarity with React/CSS logic

* Experience in AI-first product teams
