Technical Manager

A leading technology company in the unmanned aerial systems domain is seeking an experienced Technical Lead to drive the end-to-end development of advanced UAV platforms.

This role serves as the senior technical authority for a complex multi-disciplinary airborne system, combining deep systems engineering expertise with hands-on technical leadership across architecture, integration, performance, and platform development.

Key Responsibilities

• Full technical ownership of complex UAV platforms throughout the entire development lifecycle
• Lead the design, architecture, and integration of multidisciplinary airborne systems, including airframe, propulsion, energy, communications, navigation, control, hardware, and software
• Drive system-level engineering activities including requirements analysis, system decomposition, trade-off analysis, and technical decision-making
• Coordinate and synchronize cross-functional engineering teams across mechanical, electrical, software, aerodynamics, and systems disciplines
• Lead system integration, testing, validation, and performance optimization activities
• Ensure system reliability, scalability, maintainability, and compliance with program objectives
• Influence technical direction and engineering execution within a matrix organization, without direct managerial authority
• Partner with engineering and program leadership on future platform capabilities and technology roadmap definition
• Support development activities from early concept and architecture phases through implementation and system maturity

Requirements

• B.Sc. in Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical discipline
• M.Sc. – Advantage
• At least 5 years of experience in UAV systems or complex airborne/aerospace platform development
• Proven experience in multidisciplinary system development environments
• Strong background in systems engineering methodologies, including requirements engineering, system architecture, and integration
• Experience working with complex platforms involving multiple engineering domains and subsystems
• Strong system-level understanding combined with the ability to dive into technical details when required
• Experience leading technical activities, design reviews, or cross-functional engineering efforts - Advantage
• Familiarity with aerospace standards, certification, or airworthiness processes – Advantage
