Position Overview
The Procurement Manager leads and manages Cronos Israel’s procurement team.
The Procurement Manage is responsible for the daily execution of RFP/RFQ and PO’s and the ongoing communication and negotiation with existing and new vendors, supporting all Cronos Israel’s activities. The right candidate is highly motivated, skilled, independent and a multitasker.
The Procurement Manager reports to the VP Operations
This position is based out of Kibbutz Gan Shmuel
Responsibilities
- Manage Procurement processes and activities towards vendors, 3rd parties, and within Cronos group, including Commercial, Legal, and Regulatory aspects.
- Contract new Vendor
- Mapping the Cronos Israel\entities internal needs
- Market survey per need (Product, Vendor)
- Set up proper business scope according to customer needs
- Manage procurement process contract, negotiation together with legal dep' under a senior management team
- Manage and maintain ongoing activities (external) with existing vendors
- Lead RFP/RFQ for required goods and services at Cronos Israel, supporting its business needs.
- In charge of developing and maintaining all procurement working processes within Cronos Israel including its implementation into ERP system when needed.
- In charge for working interface towards Cronos Group procurement team.
- Provide procurement advice to stakeholders
- Place purchase orders, meeting company’s processes, and policies.
- PO follow-up (Vendor acknowledgment and confirmation, goods/services availability, shipping, Etc.)
- Issue reports to management and stakeholders as needed
Qualifications and Education
- A degree in science or related fields
- +3 years' experience in operational procurement and working with ERP systems
- Knowledge of global/domestic purchasing methods and procedures
- Strong negotiation skills
- Service oriented
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in Hebrew and English
- Understanding and experience with shipping, customs clearance, marine and air logistics – an advantage.
- Understanding and hand on experience of purchasing contract – an advantage.
- Experience in the pharmaceutical, agricultural, chemical or similar industries- an advantage
- Experience working as a buyer for a manufacturing facility – an advantage
- Excellent organizational skills - time management skills, details oriented, independent worker, problem-solving skills, ability to multitask & follow up, strong computer skills.
