Software Team Lead

About the Role

We are seeking a Software Team Lead to manage and grow a team of frontend and backend engineers, drive technical decisions, and be a significant technical presence across the full delivery lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Own team delivery: quality, scope, and timelines
• Manage both frontend and backend engineers
• Approve high-level designs and guide developers through implementation
• Conduct deep code reviews and maintain technical standards
• Coordinate with QA, DevOps, and Product throughout the development process
• Take ownership of production issues and drive resolution
• Mentor and grow team members

Requirements

• Proven experience leading a development team while remaining an active engineer
• Owns high-level design; capable of reviewing low-level implementation at depth
• Java, microservices in a complex distributed environment
• Production experience: diagnosing and solving real issues under pressure
• Docker, Datadog
• JavaScript and frontend development experience
• Strong design patterns knowledge
• Solid unit testing practices
• Uses AI coding assistants as part of daily workflow
