Mechanical Engineer

UVision is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our R&D team. In this role, you will lead the design and development of multidisciplinary systems, from initial concept through to successful flight testing and serial production.

Job Description:

• Research & Characterization: Conduct in-depth research and characterization of materials and complex multidisciplinary mechanical assemblies.
• Detailed Design & Analysis: Perform preliminary and detailed design, including Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and other simulations for components and sub-assemblies.
• Prototyping: Define components and manage procurement for the construction of proof-of-concept models and prototypes.
• Assembly & Testing: Build final prototypes for sub-assemblies, assist in drafting comprehensive test plans, and execute hands-on testing.
• Field Testing: Provide engineering support for key experiments and field trials required for design validation.

Requirements

• B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering
• At least 5 years of proven experience in mechanical product development
• Deep familiarity with material selection for manufacturing and designing for harsh environmental conditions (ruggedized defense standards).
• Experience in engineering support throughout the entire lifecycle—from initial development to prototype and serial production.
• strong SolidWorks, including basic FEA capabilities.
• Strong understanding of engineering quality and configuration control processes, including ECO, ECP, and MRB.
• Prior experience in the design of Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS/UAV).
