Software Engineering Team Lead

A global medical device corporation that designs and manufactures advanced clinical technology platforms and specialized healthcare instrumentation systems.

Operating with distributed engineering centers across multiple continents, the local R&D group drives core system architecture, embedded computation research, and strict safety-compliant software engineering.

The company is located in Tel Aviv (train-accessible) and operates on a hybrid model of two days office-based.

Key Responsibilities-

• Leading the design, implementation, and optimization of real-time embedded software architectures primarily using C++.
• Managing the software development lifecycle from initial hardware abstraction layers up to application logic, ensuring adherence to strict clinical product timelines.
• Engineering low-latency software solutions tailored to run efficiently on customized Linux-based embedded platforms.
• Architecting multi-threaded configurations, hardware-software messaging interfaces, and real-time execution pipelines (RTOS/Embedded Linux).
• Interfacing regularly with international quality assurance, regulatory affairs, and hardware teams to maintain the highest levels of device stability.

Requirements-

• B.Sc. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a highly related academic discipline from a recognized university (Mandatory).
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience demonstrating expert-level proficiency in C++ (Mandatory).
• Extensive production-grade development experience operating within Linux environments (Mandatory).
• Proven hands-on engineering background developing firmware or system software for Real-Time Embedded (RT Embedded) architectures (Mandatory).
• 2+ years of formal experience in software engineering management or operating as a technical Team Lead / Tech Lead for an engineering squad (Mandatory).
• Prior professional experience working within the medical device industry or under safety-critical regulatory frameworks (e.g., IEC 62304) is a significant advantage.
