Red Hat OpenShift Virtualization Networking Intern (Ra’anana office, Israel)

The Red Hat OpenShift Virtualization Networking team is looking for a curious and motivated Intern to join us in Ra'anana, Israel. Ideally, you are passionate about networking, Kubernetes, and virtualization. In this role, you will contribute to real-world open source projects by engaging with the KubeVirt community and helping to develop and maintain end-to-end networking tests.

As an intern, you will participate in code reviews and learn side-by-side with experienced engineers. This long-term internship offers a unique opportunity to gain experience in system programming and understand the lifecycle of delivering enterprise-grade software in an open, collaborative environment.

What You Will Do

• Collaborate with software and quality engineers to improve end-to-end test infrastructure and expand automated test coverage.
• Participate in code reviews and community discussions to align on technical designs and fixes.
• Work on maintaining and improving networking tests for OpenShift Virtualization to ensure platform stability.
• Contribute to and maintain upstream documentation for new and existing networking features.
  
  

What You Will Bring

• Basic experience with system programming languages (Go / C / Python etc).
• Strong problem solving skills and desire to learn.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Familiarity with virtualization, containers, Linux, and networking is considered a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Must be enrolled in an accredited university program in Israel during the whole duration of the internship and eligible to begin a full-time role in 2027 or 2028
• Must be available for the internship from August 2026 till July 2027
