Mechanical Engineer

Our mechanical team is expanding, and we’re looking for an ambitious, versatile, high-calibre Mechanical Engineer who is ready to dive deep into disruptive opto-mechanics for space.

Your Core Responsibilities

• Design & Development: Design projects using SolidWorks, ensuring flight hardware meets rigorous space-grade standards.
• Simulation & Analysis: Perform critical FEA and thermal analysis using ANSYS and/or Thermal Desktop to ensure structural integrity and thermal stability in the harsh conditions of space.
• Hands-on Execution: Drive the assembly, integration, and testing (AIT) phases of our telescope systems.
• Vendor Management: Collaborate directly with suppliers and manufacturers to oversee the fabrication of high-precision components.

Role Requirements (Must-Haves)

• Professional Experience: Minimum of 3+ years of professional experience as a Mechanical Engineer (not including your academia studies), strictly following the completion of a BSc.
• Opto-Mechanical Engineering: Professional experience in the design of optical-mechanical systems.

Preferred Qualifications

We are particularly interested in candidates who bring experience in one or more of the following:

• Space Heritage: Experience in the design for space.
• Analysis Expertise (FEA): Proven experience in analysis of heat transfer (radiation) or Dynamics/vibrations.
