Senior Design Manager - Large Scale Real Estate Project

A leading real estate company is seeking an experienced Senior Design Manager to join one of the most ambitious and high-profile development projects currently under construction in Israel.

The role requires frequent on-site presence at the project offices and site in the entrance to Jerusalem, with daily collaboration alongside the project and construction teams. The project is located directly adjacent to the Yitzhak Navon train station and the light rail, making it highly accessible by train.

This is a unique opportunity to take a central role in a landmark large-scale mixed-use development combining offices and commercial spaces, designed by a world-renowned international architect.

The project is currently transitioning from planning into execution, while major design updates and program changes are still taking place - creating a highly dynamic, complex, and professionally challenging environment.

The role requires leading and synchronizing all planning and design activities across a broad network of architects, consultants, engineers, and stakeholders, while ensuring alignment between planning, execution, systems coordination, budget, and timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and coordinate all design and planning activities throughout the project lifecycle
• Manage ongoing collaboration with international architects, local design firms, consultants, and engineering teams
• Lead weekly coordination and planning meetings
• Oversee BIM processes and multidisciplinary systems coordination
• Monitor planning quality, execution readiness, timelines, and project deliverables
• Support tender documentation and design coordination processes
• Work closely with project management, construction teams, and senior stakeholders
• Accompany the project through advanced planning stages and execution

Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience in design/planning management for complex construction projects
• Significant experience in large-scale mixed-use developments, towers, or complex urban projects
• Strong background working with architectural firms and multidisciplinary consultants
• Hands-on experience working in BIM environments and systems coordination
• Experience leading projects from concept and permitting stages through execution
• High level of English - including the ability to work directly with international architects and consultants
• Strong coordination, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to thrive in a highly dynamic and fast-paced project environment
