Financial Controller

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Controller to join our Finance team at AvaTrade, offering a great opportunity to grow in a dynamic global fintech environment.

Responsibilities

*Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

*Support month-end and year-end closing processes

*Ensure timely and accurate account reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting

*Work closely with the bookkeeping team to maintain accurate financial records

*Assist with audits and liaise with external auditors

*Help implement and improve internal controls and financial processes

*Collaborate with cross-functional teams (FP&A, Legal, Operations, etc.)

*Support regulatory and compliance-related reporting (as applicable)

*Provide ad hoc financial analysis as required

Requirements

*Licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

*At least 2 years of experience in a similar role within a company, or 2+ years of experience in a Big4 firm

*Strong knowledge of IFRS

*Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks

*Capability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines

*Strong analytical skills with a hands-on approach

*High attention to detail

*High proficiency in Excel

*Experience with NetSuite – an advantage

*Excellent English (written and spoken)
