Data Project Manager & Tech Lead (GCP) (24905)

We are looking for a highly skilled Data Project Manager & Tech Lead to spearhead the end-to-end establishment of our enterprise cloud data platform. In this role, you will balance high-level project leadership with hands-on data engineering expertise, collaborating with cross-functional teams to build a scalable, secure, and modern data ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Leadership: Lead the end-to-end deployment of the enterprise cloud data platform, including planning, scheduling, task tracking, and progress monitoring.
• Stakeholder Management: Orchestrate collaboration across diverse interfaces, including Infrastructure, InfoSec, BI, Core Systems, Procurement, and external vendors.
• Hands-On Engineering: Develop data engineering processes and robust data pipelines.
• Cloud Development: Build and optimize processes using BigQuery and Dataform, while provisioning and managing resources within the GCP environment.
• Architecture & R&D: Conduct POCs, troubleshoot complex issues, and design/implement Data Lake / Data Warehouse architectures utilizing the Bronze / Silver / Gold layering strategy.
• Security & Governance: Implement cloud security frameworks, including Data Governance, IAM, Logging, Auditing, and InfoSec compliance.
• Cloud Migration: Lead and support the migration of legacy data environments from On-Prem to the Cloud.
• Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and bottlenecks, proactively developing mitigation and remediation strategies.
• Executive Reporting: Provide regular updates to upper management, presenting project status, milestones, and KPIs.

Requirements

• Experience: 6+ years of experience managing complex, highly technological Data projects – Must.
• Technical Background: Proven hands-on experience in Data Engineering, Infrastructure, or Software Development – Must.
• Cloud Expertise: Practical experience working with cloud technologies – Must.
• GCP Ecosystem: Hands-on experience with GCP (Google Cloud Platform) – Significant Advantage.
• BigQuery: Practical experience with BigQuery – Significant Advantage.
• Deep Domain Knowledge: Strong understanding of ETL/ELT practices, Data Modeling, Data Lake / Data Warehouse architectures, Databases, and Cloud Migration methodologies.
