We are building a next-generation platform (BioGPU + PathwayLight) that connects high-content experimental data to biological mechanisms and therapeutic targets.
We are looking for a rare profile who can bridge biology and software — someone who understands that biology is not just data, but a dynamic system of relationships.
Company Description
Anima Biotech is the creator of the Biology GPU, a revolutionary platform that enables AI models to compute visually and reason inside living cells. By integrating a proprietary tech stack with a dataset of 2B+ pathway images, we’ve created a closed loop for AI-scale biological experimentation.
What you’ll do
- Design representations of biological systems that connect:
- genes, proteins, pathways, and phenotypes
- multi-omics data and imaging readouts
- Translate experimental outputs into structured, machine-readable biological insights
- Work closely with software engineers to implement scalable architectures for:
- pathway modeling
- hypothesis generation
- target identification
- Collaborate with AI/LLM systems to guide:
- hypothesis generation
- experiment design
- Define and build “biological modules” that can be reused across projects
Who you are
• Background in Systems biology / computational biology/bioinformatics
• Strong intuition for:
o signaling pathways
o cellular mechanisms
o disease biology
• Comfortable working with: graphs, networks, or pathway models
• Able to translate between biological questions ↔ computational representations
• Experience (or strong interest) in:
o multi-omics data integration
o high-content imaging
o AI/ML/LLMs in biology
Bonus (highly valuable)
• Experience with:
o graph databases (Neo4j, etc.)
o knowledge graphs or network biology
o causal inference
• Prior work on:
o drug discovery
o target identification
o mechanism of action
