A leading technology company in the semiconductor and wireless connectivity industry is looking for a Wireless Algorithms Engineer to join its algorithms team in Haifa.
The team develops next-generation wireless products, focusing on wireless and PHY-layer algorithms for complex multi-antenna systems. The role combines research, algorithm design, simulation, performance analysis, integration, and system validation.
This is an opportunity to take part in end-to-end algorithm development, working closely with VLSI, HW, FW, and test teams on advanced wireless systems. The role is fully on-site from the Haifa office.
Responsibilities
- Define algorithmic requirements for advanced wireless features.
- Research, design, and optimize wireless and PHY-layer algorithms for performance and robustness.
- Drive algorithm integration into the system, including simulation, modeling, and on-target validation.
- Analyze system performance, identify bottlenecks, and propose algorithmic improvements.
- Support bring-up and validation activities by troubleshooting complex performance and reliability issues.
- Contribute to feature definition, feasibility studies, and trade-off analyses.
- Serve as a technical focal point for algorithm-related topics across HW, FW, VLSI, and test teams.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field- must.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in wireless communications and/or signal processing algorithms - must.
- Experience with algorithm development, analysis, and validation using simulations and lab measurements -must.
- Strong background in modem and PHY fundamentals across RF/analog and digital domains - must.
- Proven ability to define end-to-end algorithmic flows and collaborate across HW and FW teams - must.
- Familiarity with at least one wireless standard, such as 5G NR, LTE, Wi-Fi, or similar - must.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex algorithmic concepts.
Advantages
Hands-on experience with PHY/modem algorithms such as synchronization, channel estimation, MIMO, equalization, or link adaptation.
Experience translating algorithms into production-ready FW, HW, or RTL implementations.
M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
