TalkPilot AI builds a voice AI platform that powers real, production conversations — from customer service to outbound calls. We're a small, fast-moving team shipping a product that talks to thousands of people every day.

## The role

We're hiring a Tech Lead to own the engineering bar of a 4–6 person team. This is a hands-on role: roughly 70% writing code, 30% leading. You'll be the strongest engineer in the room — and you'll make everyone around you stronger.

You will:

- Lead technical design for new features end-to-end — from a rough product brief to a system design others can execute on.

- Run code reviews that raise the bar without slowing the team down.

- Drive estimations and break work into shippable pieces.

- Own technical quality: architecture, performance, reliability.

- Push yourself hard on the craft — and pull the team up with you.

- Ship. We're a startup; clean architecture matters, but shipping matters more.

## You probably are

- 5+ years building production systems.

- ⁠ expert with **Node.js** , **React**, **GCP**

- ⁠experienced with different AI providers 

- Someone who has already led a team or a major initiative — formally or informally.

- Opinionated about code quality, testing, and what "done" means.

- A clear communicator, in writing and in design discussions.

- Hungry to keep getting better — you read, you experiment, you sharpen.

## Nice to have

- Experience with real-time systems, WebRTC, streaming, or telephony.

- LLM / voice AI / agent infra experience.

- Background working closely with product in early-stage environments.
