Software Programmer – LTE/5G Cellular Protocols

TNG Group develops advanced RF systems, wireless communication networks, management and analytics software, and security-related solutions. We are expanding our research capabilities and looking for a talented Algorithm Engineer to join our multidisciplinary team. This role reports directly to the Algorithms Group Manager and focuses on developing cutting-edge solutions for wireless communication and protocol analysis.

We are looking for a Software Programmer with at least 3 years of experience in cellular protocol analysis, RF analysis, and software development. The candidate should have hands-on experience with LTE and 5G systems, telecom test equipment, Linux environments, and development in C/C++, Python, and Bash.

Required Skills

- Minimum 3 years of experience working with cellular communication protocols.

- Strong knowledge of LTE and 5G protocols, signaling flows, and protocol stack behavior.

- Experience in cellular RF and protocol analysis, including RF measurements, protocol traces, logs, packet captures, registration, mobility, handover, throughput, and latency analysis.

- Hands-on experience with cellular test equipment, protocol analyzers, RF tools, UE simulators, base-station simulators, or similar telecom lab equipment.

- Proven experience completing significant software projects using C/C++ and Python.

- Strong scripting and automation experience using Python and Bash.

Experience working in a Linux environment.

- Good knowledge of Linux networking tools, including tcpdump, Wireshark, ip, iptables, netstat, ss, ping, and traceroute.

- Understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, UDP, routing, interfaces, sockets, and packet troubleshooting.

- Knowledge of databases and query languages, including SQL and NoSQL DBs, query writing, joins, indexes, schemas, and basic performance analysis.

- Detail-oriented approach to testing, troubleshooting, and protocol analysis.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Background

Experience from telecom, wireless, cellular, RF, networking, or test-equipment companies is highly preferred.
