Senior Software Architect

A global leader in semiconductor manufacturing and materials engineering solutions, developing advanced technologies used in the production of next-generation chips and complex semiconductor equipment. The company operates at the forefront of AI, machine learning, advanced imaging, and multidisciplinary hardware-software systems.

The role is part of a core R&D group responsible for sophisticated scanning electron microscope systems, combining software architecture, hardware integration, algorithms, image processing, and high-scale system design. This is an opportunity to work on cutting-edge AI-based semiconductor products and help shape the architecture of complex systems used in advanced chip manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Lead software architecture for an AI-based semiconductor product, combining software, hardware, algorithms, and advanced image-processing capabilities.
• Drive end-to-end design processes for complex multidisciplinary systems, from architecture definition to implementation and integration.
• Provide technical leadership across multiple development teams and guide architectural decisions for scalable, high-performance systems.
• Maintain a hands-on approach, including approximately 30% active coding in Java / Python and/or React.
• Design and develop software solutions for advanced semiconductor equipment and sophisticated scanning electron microscope systems.
• Support debugging, troubleshooting, documentation, and continuous improvement of complex software systems.

Required Qualifications

• B.Sc. in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field -must.
• At least 5 years of experience as a Software Architect - must.
• Hands-on development experience in Java/Python and/or React - must.
• Hands-on mindset with the ability to balance architectural ownership and active coding.
• Experience working on multidisciplinary products that combine software with hardware, algorithms, or complex system components - must.
• Experience with distributed systems and large-scale complex environments- must.
• Experience with image processing products or systems - must.
• Proven ability to lead technical design processes and provide system-level architectural solutions.
