Eshed Group is looking for a talented Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineer to join the Composite Materials & Processes Department of a leading and stable defense organization.
If you are passionate about taking advanced designs from the drawing board to the production floor, and you have a deep understanding of composite structures—this opportunity is for you.
The Role:
- NPI: Lead the transition from development to full-scale production.
- Design for Manufacturing: Analyze engineering designs to ensure simple, cost-effective, and feasible production.
- Process Optimization: Define and improve manufacturing and control processes to maximize quality and yield.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Engineering, Procurement, Production, Assembly, and Quality teams.
- Infrastructure & Tooling: Characterize production tools, infrastructure, and workflows using CAD tools.
- Leadership: Lead internal and external Production Readiness Reviews (PRR) and mentor production staff through first-article and serial manufacturing.
- Problem Solving: Handle real-time troubleshooting during production and assembly.
What are we looking for?
- Education: B.Sc. in Mechanical or Materials Engineering – Mandatory.
- Experience: At least 3 years of experience specifically in the Composite Materials field – Mandatory.
- Technical Skills: High proficiency in reading engineering drawings and 3D models.
- Expertise: Deep knowledge of composite manufacturing technologies (Wet Lay-up and/or Prepreg).
- Advantage: Familiarity with the world of coatings and surface treatments.
