Procurement Economist

A leading and fast-growing organization is seeking a Procurement Economist to join its finance and procurement team in a key and impactful role.

This position combines advanced cost analysis, ongoing budget control, cross-functional collaboration, and leading efficiency initiatives that directly impact the company’s financial performance.

Responsibilities

Conduct ongoing controls over procurement orders, ensuring full cost accuracy, identifying discrepancies, and resolving gaps

Calculate full landed cost of products and raw materials, including supplier pricing and associated costs

Build, manage, and monitor the annual procurement budget, including variance analysis throughout the year

Lead cost-saving and efficiency projects, including identifying opportunities, performing financial analysis, and tracking implementation

Prepare monthly management reports and material cost forecasts, including budget deviation monitoring

Improve processes, drive automation initiatives, and implement advanced working tools

Perform ad-hoc financial and economic analyses based on organizational needs

Train relevant stakeholders on procurement costing methodologies and allocation principles

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Economics – mandatory

2+ years of experience in a financial/economic role

High proficiency in Excel, including advanced functions – mandatory

Understanding of procurement and supply chain processes – advantage

Experience with SAP in procurement/costing contexts – strong advantage

Good level of English – advantage

Strong ability to work in a multi-interface environment and manage parallel tasks under pressure

Strong analytical skills, critical thinking, high attention to detail, and accuracy
