Core Systems Development Project Manager 5300

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to lead core systems development projects within a leading organization. The ideal candidate will oversee large-scale technological initiatives from inception to successful deployment.

Key Responsibilities:

• End-to-End Project Management: Lead complex technological projects from the initiation phase through to production and go-live.
• Planning & Strategy: Develop comprehensive work plans and define project milestones using an MVP (Minimum Viable Product) approach.
• Execution & Control: Manage project budgets and timelines while ensuring all KPIs and project goals are met. Oversee third-party vendors and external partners.
• Governance & Reporting: Facilitate status meetings and lead steering committees. Prepare executive presentations, status reports, and meeting summaries.
• Risk Management: Identify potential risks and implement effective mitigation strategies.
• Matrix Leadership: Manage cross-departmental interfaces and engage diverse stakeholders to ensure project alignment.
• Process Optimization: Identify required project interfaces and bridge the gap between technological capabilities and business requirements.

Requirements:

• Experience: 3+ years of professional experience in Information Systems (IS) Project Management.
• Industry Background: Previous experience within financial or banking institutions is highly preferred.
• Stakeholder Management: Proven experience working with both business-facing and technical teams.
• Matrix Management: Solid experience in matrix management, working closely with R&D teams, infrastructure, system analysts, developers, and QA.
• Methodological Expertise: Extensive experience in risk management, steering committees, timeline management, and budgeting (Mandatory).
• Technical Proficiency: Mastery of Jira, MS-Project, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Process Understanding: Deep understanding of Information Systems life cycles and processes.
• Education: B.Sc. in Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems – an advantage.
• Domain Knowledge: Familiarity with the banking sector – an advantage.
• Technical Background: Previous experience in development or a strong technical background – a significant advantage.
