Hardware Developer (Board Design) - Defense Company | Be’er Ya’akov, Israel

A leading defense company in Be’er Ya’akov (Central Israel) is seeking an experienced Hardware Developer to take part in system-level hardware development for advanced avionics and ground-based systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop digital electronic boards (CPU, DDR, FPGA) for complex systems
  • Define and contribute to system-level hardware architecture for avionics and ground systems
  • Write and maintain hardware specifications for electronic units and boards
  • Participate in product development under configuration control, including work plans, design reviews, schedules, and integration activities
  • Define hardware-firmware-software interface documents and support integration processes
  • Participate in system integration, testing, and validation, including field trials

Requirements:

  • B.Sc. in Electrical & Electronics Engineering - mandatory
  • Strong system-level understanding and ability to contribute to hardware architecture in complex projects - mandatory
  • At least 8 years of experience in digital board design (CPU, DDR, FPGA), from specification through design, integration, and transfer to production - mandatory
  • At least 8 years of experience in hardware/firmware/software integration - mandatory
  • Experience writing design and system documentation, including interface documents for software teams - advantage
  • Knowledge of Signal Integrity simulations - advantage
  • Experience in FPGA development (coding, simulations, lab integration) - advantage
  • Experience supporting qualification testing through transfer to production - advantage
