Wiring Design Engineer (Harness & Cable Systems)

Role Overview

A leading defense manufacturing company is looking for a Wiring Design Engineer to join its team.

This is a key role within both the development and production processes, combining hands-on design work with team leadership and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a small engineering team
• Design and develop wiring harnesses and cable assemblies
• Identify and engineer components, working closely with suppliers and customers
• Prepare and maintain engineering documentation
• Manage and implement engineering changes (ECOs)
• Support both development and production activities

Requirements

• Practical Engineer / B.Sc. in Electronics Engineering – mandatory
• Proven experience in design and development of wiring harnesses and cable assemblies – mandatory
• Experience or strong motivation to lead an engineering team – mandatory
• Familiarity with manufacturers in the military and/or civilian cabling industry
• Experience with ERP systems (Priority – an advantage)
