Order Operations & serving Defense Industries/IDF – Office Customer Operations Manager Tech Operations & Quotations (Petah Tikva, Manufacturing Company, Non-Hybrid)

Operational-Service-Commercial Role

In the offices of an industrial-engineering-technical company in Petah Tikva:

• End-to-end management of quotations for the defense sector and the Ministry of Defense (MOD).
• Coordination with internal stakeholders: Procurement, Production Planning (PPC), and department engineers.
• Managing a fixed client portfolio & identifying tenders on MOD, IDF, and major defense industry websites (IAI, IMI, Tomer, etc.).
• Tracking large business accounts, managing quotations, and maintaining relationships primarily with Procurement and Order Managers on the client side.

We Are Looking For:

• Candidates in their 2nd or 3rd career role.
• Mandatory: Professionalism + analytical thinking + familiarity with (or ability to learn) basic technical specifications and blueprints (no engineering degree required).
• Future option for weekly client site visits (optional).
• Suitable for graduates in Mechanical Engineering / Plastics / Industrial Engineering & Management.

What Does a Business Portfolio Manager Do Here?

• Analyzing and responding to RFIs/RFPs (Requests for Quotations) and tenders, understanding the required processes, and coordinating with internal Production Planning or Procurement.
• Managing customer operations vis-à-vis Engineering and Production Planning, including monitoring tender access for major corporations.
• Stage 1 (First year): Deep professional immersion in office management for defense and MOD clients (mega-accounts), constructing quotes, and learning the factory’s pricing and manufacturing methods.
• Subsequent Stage: Independent leadership and management of large industrial entities in the Israeli market (industrial groups, manufacturers, or defense bodies).

Key Responsibilities:

• Service & Closing Order Cycles: Handling existing activities and expanding into new business.
• Operations, Admin & Logistics: Interfacing with Procurement, Import/Export purchasing, and the manufacturing plant.
• Expert Internal Sales / Back-Office: Managing the operation and service of client portfolios.
• Solution Development: Designing quotations in collaboration with the Engineering department.
• Technical Specialization: Developing professional expertise in the company's engineering/technical aspects.

Location: Petah Tikva (near the Light Rail on Jabotinsky St.). This is a non-hybrid, on-site position.

• Background in Account Management with business-service-commercial thinking.
• Suitability for service/trade processes combined with technical aptitude.

• Open to candidates with experience in their 1st or 2nd role in Procurement/Purchasing/Logistics.
• Ability to provide service to institutional and industrial clients.
• Advantage: Ability to commute independently (Barkan/Ariel industrial zones, and later Rosh Ha'ayin).
