Computer Technician
Mertens - MalamTeam is hiring a Computer Technician for a public sector organization operating nationwide. This role offers a hands-on opportunity in IT support, infrastructure, and field operations.
Responsibilities:
- Installation of hardware, infrastructure software, and application packages on workstations and servers in small network environments
- Provide technical support to end users
- Perform preventive maintenance and periodic system checks
- Work closely with external service providers
- Troubleshoot infrastructure issues (workstations, peripherals, telephony)
- Support and upgrade applications and operating systems (Office, Adobe)
- Collaborate with support centers and vendors across the country
- Install and configure computers, IP settings, VPN, and email systems
- Manage equipment and inventory, including mapping and deployment
- Supply equipment to organizational units
- Work both independently and as part of a team, with accountability and continuous learning
Requirements:
- 4+ years of experience as a Computer Technician – required
- Strong knowledge in troubleshooting information systems and communication connectivity
- Experience in ongoing site operation and management
- Hands-on experience with end-user equipment: workstations, printers, scanners, smart IP phones, communication cabinets, cabling, desktops, and laptops
