Continuous Improvement Engineer

In this role, you’ll work closely with operations leadership to improve manufacturing processes, eliminate bottlenecks, and help scale production of a cutting-edge hardware system. This is a high-impact, hands-on role with real ownership from day one.

This position is a maternity leave replacement, offering a unique opportunity to step into a critical role with significant exposure and impact, with potential for extension based on business needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and optimize manufacturing and assembly processes to improve throughput, yield, and efficiency
• Identify bottlenecks on the production floor and implement practical, data-driven solutions
• Work closely with Production, R&D, Supply Chain, and Quality to resolve day-to-day operational challenges
• Define, track, and analyze KPIs (cycle time, scrap, yield, OTD) to drive continuous improvement
• Build simple dashboards and reports to support real-time decision-making
• Develop and implement standard work, SOPs, and process documentation
• Lead focused improvement initiatives (Lean / Kaizen) from identification through execution
• Support new product introduction (NPI) and scaling of production processes
• Assist the VP Operations with ongoing operational priorities and problem-solving
• Identify risks to operational performance and proactively propose mitigation actions

Required Qualifications

• B.Sc. in Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Systems Engineering
• 3+ years of experience in manufacturing, operations, or process engineering roles
• Hands-on experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
• Experience working in cross-functional environments (Production, R&D, Supply Chain, etc.)
• Proactive, hands-on approach with a willingness to work close to the production floor
• Strong communication skills and ability to drive initiatives independently
