Electrical Engineer - Hardware & Embedded systems

We are an early stage agri-tech startup building a data platform for bulk agriculture. We combine hardware system, cloud software, data analytics, and AI to help customers make better decisions, reduce operational risk, and prevent losses across agricultural storage and handling operations. 

The industry we operate in is highly traditional and largely data-poor, and we are building the technology that brings real time visibility, intelligence, and automation into daily operations.

We are looking for an Electrical Engineer with hands on experience in hardware design and embedded development. As one of the early engineering hires, you will take full ownership of the hardware and embedded side of the platform - designing the physical system, writing the firmware that runs inside it, and integrating it with the broader system.

The day to day work involves designing PCB circuits, writing embedded firmware for microcontrollers, selecting components from data sheets, and solving real world challenges.

This is a rare opportunity to join an early stage startup and build real hardware systems from the ground up. You will work on a product that combines low-power electronics, wireless communication, and cloud connectivity, and you will have direct influence on hardware architecture, component decisions, and the future direction of the technology. Your work will be physically deployed inside grain storage facilities.

Responsibilities:

•⁠ ⁠Design and development of low power IoT sensing units.

•⁠ ⁠⁠PCB schematic design, layout, and prototyping.

•⁠ ⁠⁠Firmware development in C/C++ for microcontrollers (such as STM32, nRF52 or similar).

•⁠ ⁠⁠Implementation of wireless communication technologies with a focus on RF performance in challenging environments.

•⁠ ⁠⁠Battery and power management.

•⁠ ⁠⁠hardware bring up, testing, validation, and debugging.

•⁠ ⁠⁠Integration of hardware devices with gateway systems and cloud infrastructure.

•⁠ ⁠⁠Preparation of hardware for production.

Requirements:

•⁠ ⁠Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics Engineering.

•⁠ ⁠⁠2+ years of experience in electrical engineering or embedded hardware development

•⁠ ⁠⁠Hand on experience with PCB design and hardware development

•⁠ ⁠⁠Experience writing firmware in C or C++ for microcontrollers

•⁠ ⁠⁠Experience with wireless communication technologies 

•⁠ ⁠⁠Comfortable reading component datasheets and making justified design decisions

•⁠ ⁠⁠Ability to work independently with high ownership and responsibility 

•⁠ ⁠⁠Comfortable working in an early stage startup environment 

•⁠ ⁠⁠Strong work ethic and motivation to build impactful products

Nice to have:
