About The Role

You'll be the second designer on the team, joining a small design org inside a fast-moving product organization. You'll work on both new features and improvements to existing ones - owning them end-to-end from research through to shipped pixels - while collaborating daily with PMs, engineers, and the rest of the design team.

Our users span two very different worlds: executives who need clarity at a glance, and security managers who turn that clarity into work for the people on the ground. Designing for both at the same time - with all the permission flows, admin consoles, and real-time data that come with it - is the central design challenge of the role.

This is a hands-on, high-iteration role. You won't sit in a Figma file in isolation. You'll prototype in code, prototype with AI, talk to users, ship, and do it again next week.

Responsibilities

• Own UX and UI for features end-to-end - from problem framing and research through wireframes, hi-fi designs, prototypes, and shipped product
• Run lightweight user research and competitive research at startup speed - enough to make sharp decisions, not enough to slow the team down
• Contribute to and pull from our existing design system, keeping it healthy as the product grows
• Work directly inside the codebase for small UI fixes - light HTML/CSS tweaks and small React/Tailwind changes - using AI tooling as your day-to-day pair
• Prototype with AI tools (Claude, Figma Make, v0, Lovable, or whatever helps you move fast) to pressure-test ideas before committing to engineering
• Collaborate tightly with PMs and engineers - pushing back, defending decisions, and changing your mind when the evidence says so
  
  

• Bachelor's degree in Visual Communication, Industrial Design, or another design discipline - or a degree in Psychology with a focus on UX / human-computer interaction
• 3-4 years of experience designing desktop SaaS products (must be evident in the portfolio - this is a hard requirement)
• Portfolio submitted with the application- showing process, final UI, and complex flows. Before/afters, design-system contributions, and research artifacts are all welcome
• Figma mastery- the ins and outs of the tool. Other tools (Framer, ProtoPie, Rive, etc.) are a plus
• Demonstrable use of AI tools for design and prototyping - Claude, Figma Make, and similar. We want to see what you've actually built or shipped with them, not just that you've heard of them, or asked ChatGPT questions about best practices
• Light frontend chops-comfortable making small HTML/CSS edits and small React/Tailwind changes in production code (AI-assisted is fine)
• Excellent English written and spoken
• Curiosity, no ego, and fast iteration
• Git basics knowledge - comfortable with branches, PRs, and reading a repo. You don't need to be an engineer; the actual implementation work happens with AI in the loop- a strong advantage
• Prior exposure to cybersecurity, networking, or admin tooling- a strong advantage
