Managing Director (Digital Marketing Agency)

About the Role

Lightway Digital Marketing is seeking a visionary, results-driven Managing Director to take full ownership of our agency operations and strategic direction. Based in Israel and serving a high-tier portfolio across Israel, Europe, and the US, we are looking for a leader who can balance the pursuit of new commercial growth with the granular demands of operational excellence.

In this role, you are the primary leader of the agency, driving our profitability, market authority, and team culture. You will work closely with the executive board to translate our long-term vision into actionable growth.

• Operational Leadership: Take full ownership of day-to-day agency management. Streamline internal workflows, optimize resource allocation, and ensure the agency operates at peak performance across all departments.
• Commercial Growth & Revenue: Act as the primary engine for new business acquisition. You will be responsible for identifying market opportunities, building high-level strategic partnerships, and driving new business revenue to ensure sustainable scaling.
• Financial Accountability: Deliver on profitability targets and maintain strict control over P&L. You will be responsible for margin improvement, financial forecasting, and the agency's commercial health.
• Team Leadership & Mentoring: Manage, inspire, and evolve our multi-disciplinary team. You will optimize organizational structure, improve efficiency, and champion a culture of continuous improvement and high-quality output.
• Client Strategy & Growth: Act as the senior partner for our high-value accounts. Strengthen long-term client relationships, spearhead major pitches, and oversee the execution of high-performing digital campaigns that move the needle.
• Performance Optimization: Identify bottlenecks in production or service delivery and implement scalable solutions that enhance agency output without compromising our creative and analytical standards.

• 7+ years of leadership experience within a digital marketing agency or a high-growth professional services environment.
• Proven Business Development Success: A strong track record of winning high-tier accounts and scaling agency revenue through strategic commercial initiatives.
• Strategic Mastery: A deep understanding of the global digital ecosystem (SEO, PPC, Paid Social, and Data) and how to leverage these to drive ROI for e-commerce, SaaS, and B2B brands.
• Excellent English and Native-level Hebrew (written and verbal) are essential for managing our global client base and local team.
• Exceptional Communication: The ability to command a room, whether pitching to a C-suite executive or motivating the internal team.
• Problem-Solving DNA: A hands-on, decisive approach to leadership with the ability to navigate the complexities of a multi-market agency.
